More than a cute name, the newly minted Poster Club at the Visual Art League of Lewisville is composed of a group of VAL members eager to spread the word about the upcoming All Natural exhibition.
Our longtime VAL member and volunteer, Jackie Haugen, has been faithfully distributing posters in Old Town Lewisville as well as other local area hotspots.
As Jackie describes the task, “it is such an easy job. I love Old Town so it’s fun and we like to walk a different path.”
One of the benefits of distributing the posters in Old Town Lewisville and the surrounding area is getting to know and support the local businesses.
VAL Member, Denise Holguin, recently made a connection with John Gonzales at the Lewisville Pawn Shop on 962 S. Mill St. He generously agreed to display VAL’s exhibition posters in his storefront.
VAL members live, work and play all over the DFW metroplex. This gives our organization a wonderful opportunity to spread awareness of the group beyond Lewisville.
VAL members, Toni Vogel and Marilyn Henrion have stepped up to distribute posters in their community. Toni summed up the benefits of participating in the task, “I met one of my neighbors and we had a great chat about art!”

When VAL members step up to distribute posters, they get to share in the success of an exhibition. We have had visitors attend our exhibitions because they saw a poster. We know our collective efforts make a difference!
