In this 2-hour, beginner-to-intermediate drawing workshop, students will start with the basics of portraiture and finish with a self-portrait created with charcoal. Art supplies will be provided. Bring a photo of yourself or take a selfie with your cell phone for reference.

In this 2-hour, beginner-to-intermediate workshop, students will learn the fundamental drawing practice of accurately recording what the eye sees using the “sightsize” method. Participants will copy traditional figures (“plates”) made famous by Charles Bargue and his timeless drawing course. Join us Saturday, May 28, 2022, from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Lewisville Grand Theater for this free event. Artist Trading Cards, also known as "ATCs", are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Enjoy an afternoon of learning about these trading cards and creating several artist trading cards that you can trade with other artists. It's fun and easy to do!
Please bring a small bottle of Elmer's glue, a glue brush, scissors, and two small artist painting brushes. Paints will be supplied."

The workshop is a refresher for using watercolors and consists of three segments: Composition, Watercolor techniques, and painting from photographs.
This is a very hands-on workshop with plenty of handouts and exercises suitable for all levels of watercolor painters.
