2025 Fall Art Pop-Ups

Saturday, Oct 18

Featured Artist: Darla Bostick

Date: Saturday, Oct 18, 10:30 am - noon

Location: Wayne Ferguson Plaza

About the Artist:

“Art is Life!” My images show the world as I see it. I am a Denton, TX resident with a BFA from Texas Tech University. For 50+ years I have been involved in the arts as an artist, educator and photographer. Love of travel is evidenced in my photographic images which inspire paintings in watercolor or mixed media. I have visited 85+ countries and use my camera to capture colors, architecture, unique landscapes and people’s daily lives.

I’ve taught art workshops in several states as well as my Annual Art Adventure Abroad: Ireland, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Portugal, Italy, France, Belgium and Holland. At Ghost Ranch in New Mexico this November I present my 20th week-long art workshop/retreat.

My work is recognized by the use of pure colors. Paint is allowed to blend while on the paper to provide vivid images with clean colors.

My work has been accepted to several national and international exhibitions (with awards along the way). Six art associations have honored me with signature status.

I have participated in several public art projects throughout Texas as well as Washington, D.C.

Saturday, Oct 25

Featured Artist: Amna Malik

Date: Saturday, Oct 25, 10:30 am - noon

Location: Wayne Ferguson Plaza

About the Artist:

I am an art student, and I am from Pakistan. My strengths are sketching, drawing, and painting. I will bring a sketchbook, some watercolors, and sketch pencils to the art pop-up. Stop by to say hello!

Saturday, Nov 1

Featured Artist: Jennifer P. Langley

Date: Saturday, Nov. 1, 10:30 am - noon

Location: Wayne Ferguson Plaza

Mediums: oil painting, oil pastel, watercolor, ink drawing

About the Artist:
Come create Artist Trading Cards with me! They’re fun, and anyone can do them!

I have practiced various art styles and techniques for the better part of the past three decades. Oil, oil pastel and ink are my traditional mediums of choice, but recently I have begun experimenting with watercolor. My works are typically on larger canvases, but as of late I’ve discovered the joy of plein air sketchbooks and Artist Trading Cards. I love playing with color and try to push my own boundaries with each new piece.

Saturday, Nov 8

Featured Artist: Caleb Carter

Date: Saturday, Nov. 8, 10:30 am - noon

Location: Wayne Ferguson Plaza

About the Artist:
My name is Caleb (aka Cowpie Studios Art), and I create unique abstract fluid art, layering vibrant colors and dynamic shapes with acrylic paint. I enhance many of my favorite pieces by drawing with paint pens to reveal hidden forms. Each painting is a one-of-a-kind fusion of spontaneity and precision!
