Behind the Scenes at the Lewisville Thrive – Fall Exhibition

It may have been raining, but that did not deter artists from delivering their artwork for the new Fall Exhibition at Lewisville Thrive today!

Volunteers Polly Belt, Tore Bellis, Cindy Bustamante and Denise Holguin received and arranged the incoming artwork.

Several factors contribute to an exhibition’s success. Where each artwork is placed in relation to the other pieces matters. Color, style and size all come into play.

Alignment is important, too. The team was fortunate to have Tore Bellis on hand—not only because he’s tall, but because he’s trained in hanging artwork for our exhibitions.

It’s not merely about hanging artwork on hooks. The horizontal alignment across the entire wall needs to be considered. Fortunately, the wires and hooks at the Thrive are easy to adjust. Then it’s just a matter of measuring.

Speaking of measuring, Amanda Martin from Alliance Direct had just given Denise a tape measure yesterday. Always one to be prepared, Denise packed it in her bag of tricks for today.

Talk about perfect timing!
